~ Kelly & Michael | September 19, 2020 ~
Kelly and Mike met on a summer day in DC when they joined mutual friends for a run. After many miles of polite conversation and witty banter, they decided to train for a marathon together. The future bride and groom met at the Lincoln Memorial after work almost every day that summer to train, and quickly realized they had the same interests. As their friendship turned into love, they’ve been together ever since!
Kelly explained that their wedding almost didn’t happen due to COVID-19. “Because the world has been turned upside down for the past six months, our wedding day is especially exciting and special, as a sign of a true start to a new life. The ability to be safely surrounded by our closest family and friends is not taken for granted.”
The couple’s advice for others planning their wedding is to “go with the flow, make yourselves happy, and look forward to life beyond the wedding.”
