When Corey first reached out to me, she wrote: “We LOVE that you focus on candid moments more than anything.” Corey and Josh wanted every moment of their Clarendon Ballroom wedding captured. Because of their sweet nature and expressiveness, I happily photographed their wedding.
Corey and Josh married at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, Virginia. One of my favorite details of the day was Corey’s veil, which was also worn by several of her bridesmaids during their weddings.
The bride got ready at a hotel within walking distance from the Clarendon Ballroom. Makeup artist Ashley Alana did the bride’s makeup. I love working with Ashley because she always does a great job and is very fast. Corey’s bridesmaids loved seeing the bride for the first time.
To the delight of their guests, Josh walked down the aisle to the Game of Thrones theme song. Then, Corey walked down the aisle to “My Girl.” Greenery adorned the couple’s chuppah and complemented the magenta bridal bouquet. After the wedding ceremony, we took a few formal photos outside. It was extremely hot, so we had to take those photos quickly.
The Clarendon Ballroom wedding reception featured white linens, gold chairs, and magenta flower arrangements. After an emotional first dance, the maid of honor toasted the bride and groom. Then, during the reception, the band Jump Street kept the party going hard until the last possible second. As a result, the guests partied and had a great time. To cap off the evening, the bride and groom danced the hora. Finally, outside the Clarendon Ballroom, the neon sign glowed.
