About five minutes after meeting Lisa and Jon at their engagement session, I said, “You two didn’t tell me you were awesome.” They are the kind of couple that has obvious chemistry, big smiles, and infectious laughs. They love tacos and pho. Their wedding vision board was filled exclusively with Lisa Frank posters from the 80s.
Lisa and Jon celebrated their first wedding anniversary just a few weeks ago — Happy Anniversary! And I realized that, while I’ve posted their photos in Instagram, FB, etc., I still haven’t blogged their gorgeous and stylish Carnegie Institution for Science wedding!
This wedding was extra special because each detail reflected the couple’s unique personalities. Just check out the bride’s black wedding dress and groom’s velvet shoes.
The day started at The Darcy Hotel, which is just around the block from the Carnegie Institution for Science. Jon wrote a note to Lisa on the cutest ice cream stationery (“I’ll stop the world and melt with you…”). The pair then had a private first look on the steps of the Carnegie Institution for Science. It was cold, but not too, too cold. Nothing could stop the excitement and fun of their first look!
Both families then met in the library upstairs for the Ketubah signing. The library at the Carnegie Institution for Science is such a great space and the light is always nice. After a touching ceremony, everyone had the best time dancing and celebrating this amazing couple.
